Written in memory of two aquaintances, Oration is also connected in my mind with the Aberfan disaster when 144 souls, 112 of them children, were engulfed when liquid coal waste slipped to drown a school. The image in my mind is of a preacher's passionate funeral valediction... a farewell... against the background of a sombre graveside gathering.
