MUSIC 2 own choice selections
No.1 Selection points listed under Test
Following the new rule introduced by the Australian Band Council ,In a first for Australian bands and possibly the world percussion instruments were included .at a contest
The Own Choice Selection from"Liszt "(arr McAnally) that the Bondi Beach Concert band played was the same selection (though arranged by Thomas Keighley on that occasion) bandmaster Albert Baile won with the Newcastle Steelworks at the Bellevue contest (Eng) 1924.
They were the only band that took advantage of the new rule . It had a full set of tympani etc and played splendidly by Hayden Huckstepp
